Yoga Teacher Training 2027

Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is for anyone ready to deepen their practice, whether or not they plan to teach. Over four immersive weeks at our Claremont studio, you’ll study yoga in depth, from the physical practice to the philosophy behind it, and learn to guide others with clarity and confidence.

The training runs from 2nd - 27th August 2027 and covers asana, anatomy, philosophy, sequencing and the art of holding space. You’ll leave with a deeper connection to the teacher within and a fuller understanding of yoga as a whole.

Training Overview

Our in-person, internationally accredited training takes a Vinyasa-focused Hatha approach that’s grounded and contemporary, while giving you a thoughtful look at yoga’s history and philosophy. Over the course of the programme, you’ll explore:

Techniques, Training, & Practice:

Build the practical foundations of teaching: asana (postures), pranayama (breathing and energy practices) and meditation. You’ll learn to guide each one safely and inclusively, with care for the uniqueness of every body.

Anatomy, Physiology, & Biomechanics:

Understand the structure of the human body and its main systems, and how they relate to yoga practice, so you can teach movement that’s safe and sustainable for the long term.

Yoga Humanities:

Trace yoga from its roots to the present day through its key texts, philosophy and ethics, with space for critical thinking, self-reflection and how these ideas shape your teaching.

Professional Essentials:

Learn the craft of leading a class, from thoughtful sequencing and clear cueing to holding a room with confidence. You’ll also gain insight into the business of yoga and receive mentorship to refine both your practice and your teaching.

What You’ll Leave With

As a graduate of the House of Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training Programme, you will:

  • Build the teacher within: Discover your authentic voice and style, enabling you to share yoga meaningfully and with integrity.

  • Honour yoga’s heritage: Understand how yoga has evolved (and continues to), and learn to pass on its teachings with respect, awareness and care for its cultural origins.

  • A practice for everyday life: Build self-awareness, presence and confidence that carry into every part of your life. Even if you never teach a class, you’ll leave with practical tools, from mindfulness to clearer communication, that support your work, relationships and wellbeing.
