“Simplicity, clarity, singleness: these are the attributes that give our lives power and vividness and joy.” — Richard Halloway
If you’re looking for more energy, mental clarity and peace of mind and heart, then we’d love for you to join us on this long weekend away to explore how you can find more joy in your life through simplicity.
Our modern lives have become increasingly cluttered with things to do and things to get as a result of western culture underpinning society with the narrative that success = more, and more = a happier, more fulfilled life.
“More”, however, invariably leads to greater stress, overwhelm, a sense of lack, and less time for the things that are really meaningful to us. We find the more we fill our days and time with busy-ness, clutter and the stuff we feel we are expected to be doing and acquiring, the more we are pulled away from ourselves – who we are in our essence.
When we are connected to our essence, though, we naturally feel more grounded, spacious and peaceful, and we can more easily connect with what we need and want in our lives to bring more joy to ourselves, to others, and to our environment.
The quiet gentleness of our essence is always there and always accessible, but is often drowned out by the noisiness and busy-ness of our lives. Nurturing it requires awareness and space in order to be brought forward as our most natural way of being.
This retreat will help you to explore and integrate simple but transformative tools into your life to bring you back to your essence so that you can find more energy, spaciousness, calm and peace, and less noise, clutter and stress – no matter what is going on in your daily life or the world at large.

About your hosts:
Leigh is a 500hr qualified yoga teacher and the proud founder of House of Yoga in Cape Town – an urban sanctuary where people from all walks of life come to reconnect with themselves. Leigh finds joy in sharing how conscious movement, breath work and other mindful practices can re-establish a connection to the physical body and self, and encourage greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and, ultimately, liberation. She firmly believes that the more you can step into your true sense of self, the more ease, calm and peace you can find in everyday life. Drawing on her own yoga practice spanning 17 years and a background in dance, and by focusing on a subtle balance between technique, alignment and letting go, she aspires to help her students feel more embodied, grounded and energised.
Vicky is the founder of The Inner Alchemist – a community for people to restore their self esteem and find flow within their daily lives. She is a certified life coach focused on helping people to rediscover slowing down and self care, to make more aligned choices for their lives. Vicky will guide you gently to boost and protect your mental health, to move away from burn out culture and to restore balance into your life. After a decade in the demanding world of advertising, Vicky understands the damaging effects that stress and striving can have on mental health. Her philosophies are founded on the principle that all solutions lie within, and through redirecting your awareness back to yourself, you are able to restore well-being into your body, heart and mind.
