Reclaim You (A Winter Retreat)
- A greater balance between productivity and restoration, so that you can have more energy to drive what’s important to you
- How to live more intentionally and consciously so you can show up in your life as the best version of yourself
- A deeper sense of well-being, pleasure and creativity
- More wisdom, decisiveness and personal power
This cosy winter weekend retreat is for anyone who is looking to reconnect to themselves and reclaim their space in the world as a unique individual, with a sense of energy, decisiveness and confidence.
If you’re constantly feeling stressed and fatigued, or like you’re on a hamster wheel and there’s no end in sight (perhaps even more so in these current times – even though the COVID pandemic was supposed to “slow things down”) and need some time to simply stop, take stock and reset, this retreat will help you to integrate simple but transformative tools in your life to bring more balance and connection. This is a small, intimate weekend retreat limited to a maximum of 12 people, designed to create community without crowds and to allow for focused practice and individual attention.
Winter is the perfect season to slow down, look inwards and reflect. Over the weekend we will explore why you might find yourself where you currently are, how you can reset and reframe your perceptions around stress, pressure and productivity, and how to live more intentionally, consciously and in alignment with yourself and what is important to you.
This exploration will be guided by a specially designed yoga practice (accessible to all levels of practitioner – beginners to advanced), interactive workshop discussions, yoga nidra, meditation, music and a nourishing food menu that will complement the journey. You will learn simple yet effective tools that can be incorporated into your daily life to support you on your continuing odyssey of self-rediscovery. You will also have some free time to spend doing whatever your heart desires: relaxing, exploring the beautiful nature surrounding our venue, tucking up next to the fireplace with a good book, or taking walks through the farm’s olive and buchu groves, fynbos and proteas.
Your journey will take place on a secluded olive and buchu farm situated on the beautiful, peaceful slopes of the Hawequa Mountains, near Wellington, only an hour’s drive from Cape Town.
The farmhouse itself is nestled next to a mountain stream so that you wake up and fall asleep to the soothing sound of babbling water. Each room is uniquely decorated and fitted with luxurious linen and special touches to make you feel at home and yet still on holiday!

About your hosts:
Leigh is a 500hr qualified yoga teacher and the proud owner of the yoga studio House of Yoga in Cape Town – an urban sanctuary where people from all walks of life come to reconnect with themselves. Leigh is passionate about showing how yoga can re-establish a connection to the physical body, and encourages greater self-awareness and self-acceptance. She firmly believes that the more you can step into your true sense of self, the more ease, calm and peace you can find in everyday life. She spent 12 years working in the corporate world before opening House of Yoga in 2018 and has experienced first-hand the effects of fatigue and burnout. By focusing on technique, alignment and letting go, she aspires to help her students feel more embodied, grounded and energised. She enjoys weaving together aspects of the various yoga styles she has practiced over the past 17 years (including Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Scaravelli, Ashtanga and Yin) with her previous dance experience to create a “structured flow” to her teaching and classes.
Vicky is the founder of The Inner Alchemist – a community for people to restore their self esteem and find flow within their daily lives. She is a certified life coach and women’s circle facilitator, and through her work shares the process of rediscovering the sacred self to come into alignment with one’s highest purpose. Vicky will guide you gently to boost and protect your mental health, how to effectively tap into your empathic gifts, and tune into your cyclical nature to bring balance and restorative self care into realizing your goals.
